| Main => Game Discussion => u4gm Black Ops 7 Patch Improves Campaign and Zombies |
It feels like the dev team has finally tackled a bunch of the stuff players have been moaning about for months. The latest patch just dropped, and whether you’re into Campaign or Zombies, there’s something here you’ll notice pretty quick. On the Campaign side, the big win is a stability overhaul. Those late-game missions with loads of environmental effects that used to crash out of nowhere? Sorted. No more losing 20 minutes of progress because the game decided to quit. They’ve also fixed that annoying stealth mission bug where the keycard wouldn’t spawn, which basically killed your run. Checkpoints have been nudged to appear a bit sooner after heavy fights, and NPC allies shouldn’t be getting stuck on bits of scenery anymore. It’s not flashy, but it’s the kind of stuff that makes you actually want to keep playing. If you’ve been thinking about pushing through the story again, this might be the time — especially if you’re eyeing CoD BO7 Boosting to speed things up.
Over in Zombies, the changes are a lot more about gameplay balance and keeping things fair. Those little “god mode” corners on the latest map, where you could camp forever without taking a hit, are gone. High-round runs will take more effort now, which is probably a good thing for anyone who likes a bit of challenge. Crashes during high rounds — you know, when the screen’s packed with enemies and effects — have been addressed too. That’s huge if you’ve ever had the game drop out after hours of grinding. No one wants to see all that time go up in smoke.
Weapons have had a bit of a shake-up as well. The Wonder Weapon’s ammo capacity has been bumped up, so it won’t feel like it runs dry too fast in the later waves. On the other hand, a couple of shotguns that were basically dominating the meta have been toned down just enough to make other guns worth picking. They’re still strong, just not the only option anymore. This should mix things up for loadouts and make matches feel less predictable.
There are also fixes for some perks and field upgrades that weren’t working right. A Tier V upgrade that wasn’t applying its effects has been sorted, so you’ll actually get what you paid for now. Zombies mode feels tighter, Campaign feels smoother, and overall, it’s clear the devs are listening to player feedback.
If you’ve been on the fence about jumping back in, now’s a good moment — especially if you’re thinking about grabbing CoD BO7 Boosting for sale to make the grind a bit easier.
